Khoisan sea salt
Salt - that comes from the sun
Khoisan sea salts are entirely natural and free of any artificial additives, while being rich in essential minerals and micronutrients from the sea. They are gently harvested by hand from a salt bed on South Africa's west coast that is fed by a 400 year old subterranean salt lake. The Atlantic Ocean filters through an approx. 2000 m thick barrier of sand, shell limestone and clay, thereby refilling the salt lake. Salt crystals formed by the effects of sun and wind are carefully harvested by hand and dried in the sun.
