What is the right temperature for my oil?

Heating oils

One bit of advice we`d like to share with you: Please handle our premium, cold-pressed edible oils with care. Use them for enhancing salads, soups, vegetable and grain dishes or just-pressed juices - your imagination has no limits! In order to preserve their valuable substances, these fine drops should be only slightly warmed. Special attention should be paid to using the lowest heat possible. It therefore goes without saying that Fandler oils are not suitable for deep-frying or searing. However, it is fine to use olive oil, sesame oil, grape seed oil and peanut oil for gently sautéing or steaming. And don`t forget to try our hazelnut oil for gently frying pancakes.

By all means, almost all of our Fandler oils can be slightly warmed. And the aromas of our premium oils unfold most exquisitely when they are used as the icing on the cake to enhance finished dishes.

Important: As with all fats and oils, it is important that they not be overheated (the oil will smoke and smell horrible). If this happens, please dispose of the oil, clean the pan and begin again with fresh oil!
